This kit provides the parts necessary to make one Tensa Solo pole from an available Tensa4 pole, plus a light drawstring carry bag. You’ll need two to hang without any trees or similar supports available. Order up to four kits to make up to four Tensa Solo poles from one Tensa4 stand.

Each pole requires two guylines and two anchors. We assume you will re-use those included with Tensa4 for the first pole. If you order two or more conversion kits with one Tensa4, be sure to order any extra guylines and anchors needed.

Kit consists of:
1 #5 tarp extension segment with tarp loops
1 Amsteel loop and ball
1 3D-printed foot which can be semi-permanently installed or easily removable
1 Tensa4 inner-foot removal tool
1 Lightweight drawstring bag

Optional:
Stakes and guylines.

Check the Tensa Solo instructions for detail.

Description

You can reconfigure Tensa4 as up to four Tensa Solo poles, able to hang two hammocks with no other supports available, or four hammocks anchored to a single tree or similar. With four extra #1 tubing segments from our Parts section, you can make up to eight Tensa Solos from one Tensa4!

Owning both a Tensa4 and one or more Solo conversion kits provides the flexibility of owning both systems, more cost effectively than owning them separately. To save weight and pack space, bring only the parts you know you need, or take everything to be ready for anything.

Though I haven’t tried the Solo Conversion Kit yet, the components look to be of high quality.

Staking adequately can be a challenge, but the product is top notch.

Yes it can. My best advice is get creative. Using that I have hung on a couple of granite slabs with what most people would say was absolutely nothing to anchor to.

Love it. Some fiddling was necessary on first use, but once dialed in it is excellent.

I like the Tensa 4, but the only problem is that when I want to bonfire while sitting in a hammock, the Tensa 4 frame gets in the way, so I ordered the Tensa Solo Conversion kit without much expectation.

And the first time I used Tensa Solo, my expectations were betrayed.
Of course for the better. A sense of stability that cannot be imagined from that shape.
When you tighten the webbing, the pole is completely fixed, and it doesn’t shake or glare.

The day I first tried Tensa Solo, there was a dozen meters of wind.
I tried it, thinking that if I felt a danger, I would stop halfway through, but Tensa Solo overcame this wind!

From this, I was convinced that Tensa Solo would be a lifelong companion!

I purchased two Solo conversion kits to use when canoeing. One many sites where we do most of our canoeing (Northeast US), it hard to find enough open area under two trees to hang one hammock, let alone two if my wife comes along. With the two conversion kits, we only need one tree and can hang two hammocks close enough to cover with our large tarp. These kits are small and light enough to bring along, even with multiple portages.

With my Treez, Solos and a Tensa4, I now have enough equipment for my wife and both kids to hang.

Tensa is a great company to deal with, and their equipment works great!
